It’s that time of year again. Holiday parties featuring festive cocktails and tasty treats have already begun. We’ve all been busy making a long list of New Year resolutions and getting rid of that stubborn flab is right at the top. Whether its ten pounds, two dress sizes, or plans to nix the extra skin underneath your arms commonly referred to as unwanted “chicken wings,” To stick to your guns this year and not give in to temptation here are a few facts you should know before blindly reaching for that glass to ring in the New Year.

Peppermint Martini: (100 Calories)
Ingredients: 2 oz. Peppermint HINT water, 1.5 oz. vodka, 1 oz. cranberry juice, 1 oz. seltzer water, 1 mint leaf.
Directions: Combine HINT, vodka, cranberry juice, and mint leaf in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Top with seltzer water and garnish with peppermint stick or mint leaf.

Blueberry Blitzer: (150 Calories)
Ingredients: 3 oz. Peppermint HINT water, 2 oz. 100% cranberry juice, 1 oz. seltzer water, ¼ cup blueberries.
Directions: Combine HINT and cranberry juice and mint leaf in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Top with seltzer water and garnish with blueberries.
PomBerry Splash: (130 Calories)
Ingredients: 3 oz. Black Raspberry Sparkling ICE, 2 oz. pomegranate juice, crushed candy canes.
Directions: Combine Sparkling ICE and pomegranate juice in a shaker with ice. Wet the edge of a chilled martini glass and dip into crushed candy cane pieces. Shake and strain into the glass. Garnish with peppermint stick.

Black Raspberry Icicle: (150 Calories)
Ingredients: 1 oz Makers Mark Bourbon, 1 oz dry vermouth, 3 oz Black Raspberry Sparkling ICE.
Directions: Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ICE. Shake and pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with fresh blackberries or raspberries.
VOGA’s Sparkling Peppermint Swirl: (100 Calories)
Ingredients: 2 oz VOGA Premium Sparkling, 1 oz vanilla vodka, Splash of Grenadine, mint leaves, crushed candy canes.
Directions: Combine VOGA Premium Sparkling, vodka, grenadine, and mint leaves in a shaker with ice. Wet the edge of a chilled martini glass and dip into crushed candy cane pieces. Shake and strain into the glass. Garnish with peppermint stick.
VOGA’s Holiday Sangria: (150 Calories)
Ingredients: 2 bottles VOGA Italia Merlot (or VOGA Italia’s *New* Dolce Rosso for a sweeter sangria), 3-4 fresh figs, sliced (or 1 cup dried figs), 1 fresh gala apple, sliced, I pear, sliced, 1 cup of cherries, 2-3 oranges, sliced (not peeled), 1 cup orange juice, 1 cup brandy, ½ cup triple sec.
Directions: Combine all fruit slices in a glass pitcher and slowly pour in orange juice, brandy, triple sec, and wine. Cover and chill from 2-24 hours (the longer, the better!) Stir gently and serve over ice. Garnish glasses with orange peel. Makes about 15 servings
